AM Dishwasher

Description 

Position Summary: The Dishwasher performs a number of kitchen activities including pot and dish washing, general cleaning duties to maintain sanitary kitchen standards, and storing food and non-food supplies.


Duties and Responsibilities 

Follow proper procedures for pot sink setup and breakdown.• Clean and sort all food items and caves returning from events, under the supervision of the floor Manager.• Wash and sanitize all pots and pans being used at events and for internal kitchen use. Place clean items in proper storage area.• Take out garbage throughout the work day, separating food waste from recycled items and compostable items, and using proper dumpsters to dispose of trash, compost and recycling.• Sweep and mop all areas of the kitchen during open hours as needed, and at the end of service daily, resetting the floor mats and placing clean trash cans in the kitchen area.• Follow cleaning schedule as designated by the floor Manager, maintaining highest quality of areas at all times.• Report to work in proper uniform as outlines in the Back of the House Dress Code Policy.• Perform other relevant duties as required.

Driver

Description

Position Summary:
The Driver will provide primary transportation services required to support the organization by loading and unloading equipment and food and distributing at events or drop-offs. The Driver will be responsible for driving to and from designated locations, verifying orders to delivery papers while maintaining a record of safety in accordance with Catering Out The Box and State of Illinois Transportation Guidelines.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver food and supplies for catered functions to the scheduled locations in a safe and efficient manner.• Contacts Facilities & Logistics Manager daily between 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm in order to receive next day’s scheduled hours.• Maintain and clean the inside and outside of vans at the end of each drop location.• Make efficient use of time by checking other drops and assisting in checking food and drinks that are scheduled to leave the same day.• Verify orders to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies have been loaded prior to departing drop location.• When issues exist that prevent driver from performing tasks in a timely manner, driver contacts Facilities & Logistics Manager for further instruction.• Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.• Perform daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.• Perform other relevant duties as required

CHEF

 

Description

Position Summary:
The Chef is responsible for fabricating on & off-premise production of foods according to service guidelines.  This responsibility includes maintaining proper storage and sanitation procedures with regard to cooking, holding, and serving food.  This position requires chefs to work at a variety of venues in Chicago and Chicagoland. All actions are geared toward achieving total guest satisfaction.   Job requirements include but are not limited to, knife skills, basic mise en place skills, plating, set up and breakdown of kitchens, cleaning, and good communication skills. Head chef’s are expected to bring their own knife kits to all shifts.  Experience in off premise catering is preferred. An ideal candidate will most importantly work well with others and come to work with a good attitude. All actions are geared toward achieving total guest satisfaction.

Description

Position Summary:
The Sales Consultant will develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales goal minimum of $1,000,000 per year. Enhance the client base and be a brand ambassador for Catering Out The Box, LLC.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Grow sales by ensuring inquires and leads are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely manner, new business is sought out through networking and prospecting, prospects are converted to clients, and clients expectations are met through effective communication, event planning, and service.

• Manage individual sales goal development and achieve monthly sales goal targets.

• Create a culture of no client should be a one-time client.

• Partner with Operations and Service Departments to ensure events are correctly prepared for and executed. Provide recommendations to enhance processes and create efficiencies.

• Partner with Marketing to develop both short and long range plans that support the brand and product for clients and Venues.

• Work closely with Culinary in the development of quality, creative and timely presentations, tastings and proposals.

• Ensure accurate and comprehensive files are maintained with proposals and clients.

• Manage event production to include but not limited to; proposal writing, menu development, equipment and logistics, and Profitability Goals.

• Partner with Accounting/Billing Department to ensure compilation of accurate final billing and the collection of accounts receivables.

• Manage individual sales expense budget

• Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.

• Develop a holistic understanding of the Catering Out The Box Vision.

• Perform other relevant duties as required.

 

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or related industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of off-site catering and event operations.

• General interest in food, menu design and creative event development.

• Intermediate knowledge of financial management disciplines to include but not limited to: gross profitability, budget design and management, financial analysis, and return on investment.
